check it out
Here is a picture of the Fitting Room idea. In the example, the warrior has just tried on the Ascalon Cuirass from the armorer.
A full-size and legible 8x10 picture is in the attachment
I would do one for the Dye Preview too but I don't have a color chart or gradient of all the dye colors there are so I can't

They should both happen but they should be done the way the guild emblemer shows you your cape while you're making it. No "room" you enter, just a little window to show you.

I was merely pointing out that there is not a "room" that needs to be designed, just a new tab at the armorer. If you choose to utilize said tab it brings up the inventory menu, and shows the selected armor on your character there whenever you click View. So kind of like the guild cape design interface, which is just fine.

Something like this is needed in the game. I surprised they overlooked something like this.

I honestly always thought buying armor should allow you to customize it similar to when you craft a guild cape.
They should allow all the same logos and color patterns on armor. It'd be something simple, but effective. Would at least break up all the warriors wearing knights or plate mail Droknar armor. The Dye is nice, but a bit more customization would go a long way.

what if u could only preview armers that THAT armer is selling so u cant go to the first armerer in ascalon and preview the 15k stuff u hav to go to grotto or citadel to preview that armer...
apart from that its a good idea

I didn't consider that part, but I definitely agree that you should only be able to try on armor that is for sale from the armorer you are visiting.
Are there any good dye charts out there that I can look at? I've been wanting to make a screen mock-up for the dye preview but most of the stuff I find is people asking for dye charts, or dye charts that don't have very many colors on them. I found the one from Valareos, which is cool, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any additional big dye charts like that before I go play in photoshop.

Absolutely the best idea I've read in awhile and seemingly VERY simple to encode into the game.
And, frankly, there are enough people running around in 15k armor. There's no real surprise anymore. You can either see thousands running around IG or you can go to the Screenshot Exposition forum and see the 15k armor in all its glory.
